Project: Fireplace enclosure and mantle
Features: Crown detail, deep mantle and a craftsman style
ShopNotes: This fireplace was typical of mid-century ranch homes: brick with a small mantle and a dated marble hearth. The client did the stonework around the firebox and we enclosed the remainder with panels to conceal the brick. This also allowed us to add a detailed mantle top to give the entire structure some weight.
